We are a Mixed Billing Practice

Practice Fees (Effective from 1 July 2025)

Dear Valued Patients,

Doctors at Brandon Park had transitioned from Bulk Billing to Mixed billing since 2022. The current out-of-pocket fee is $30.00

Please note that the ‘Gap Fee” is applied to all face-to-face Standard Consultation, face to face Long Consultation and all Telephone Consultations.

Why are we changing our fees?

Over the year the operating costs for running a general practice such as rent, medical supplies, wages, digitization, Payroll Tax (New tax on GP practices in VIC) have risen at a far greater rate than paid by Medicare.

We shall however continue to BULK BILL eligible patient groups for most of the consultation types like:

• Children under 16 years of age
• Health Care card / Pension Card
• International students with BUPA or Allianz Health Insurance
• DVA Gold Card Holders
• GP care Plan, Mental Health Care plan and Health Assessment
• We may bulk bill if it is only for “Result Follow up” or only for “Immunisation appointments.”

If you are genuinely financially disadvantaged, please speak with your doctor.

*Note: Out-of-pocket charges apply to the following services

• All type of Non-Bulk Billed appointments: $30.00

• Implanon Insertion only: $50.00
• Implanon Removal only: $50.00
• Implanon Insertion and Removal: $60.00
• Wound dressing: $15
• Skin Biopsy/Excision: $50.00

CANCELLATION/MISSED APPOINTMENT FEES: Please note that a cancellation fee of $30.00 will apply if you fail to turn up to your appointment or cancel your appointment within 2 hours of appointment booking time

 

Private Billing (for all the patients who do not hold a valid Medicare card or not eligible for Bulk Billing as outlines above):

• Practice fees are to be billed as follows:

Weekdays (Monday- Friday) and Saturday from 11.30 am to 12.59 PM)

• • Standard consultation (For in person or Telephone):

    $73.90 (Medicare/health Fund rebate $43.90, Out of Pocket fee $30)

• • Long consultation:

  $114.90 (Medicare/health Fund rebate $84.90, Out of Pocket fee $30)

              Saturday from 1.00 Pm and Sunday all day:

• •  Standard consultation (In-person):

                $87.15 (Medicare/health Fund rebate $57.15, Out of Pocket fee $30)

• •  Standard Consultation (Telephone):

    $73.90 (Medicare/health Fund rebate $43.90, Out of Pocket fee $30)

• • Long Consultation (In-person only):

  $128.00 (Medicare/health Fund rebate $98.00, Out of Pocket fee $30)

Payment Information:

• Payment Methods:

  Payments accepted via all major cards (Debit/Credit). WE DO NOT ACCEPT CASH for security reason.

• Private Health Insurance:

  Patients with private health insurance are required to pay in full on the day of consultation.
  We do not bill private insurers directly, except for BUPA, Allianz, and HCF (in person only) and Medibank Private (in person only).
  Please speak to our admin team if you are with any of these providers.

• Receipts:

  All patients will be issued a Payment Receipt upon settlement, which can be used to claim reimbursement from their insurer.

• Payment Policy:

  All fees must be paid on the day of the consultation.
  Deferred payments are not accepted.
